12 Tips to Enhance Mind Power

  1. Be curious and involved; commit to lifelong learning.
  2. Read, write, work on crosswords or other puzzles.
  3. Attend lectures and plays.
  4. Enrol at a local adult education centre, community college or other community groups.
  5. Play games.
  6. Engage in gardening.
  7. Try memory exercises.
  8. Here is an exercise that can strengthen and perhaps even create fresh neural connections. Use the hand you normally do not use to control the mouse.
    What do you notice? Is it harder to be accurate with your motions? Don’t worry, your brain is learning a skill.

  9. Use that hand to write, eat, brush your teeth, dial the phone and operate a remote.
  10. Try dressing or washing with your eyes closed.
  11. Share a meal and use only visual clues to communicate.
  12. Explore different routes to your workplace.
