Kick OTC Drugs for Kids

Think twice before buying over-the-counter (OTC) cold and cough medicines for children under six. A US panel has advised against the use of these drugs, saying “studies do not demonstrate efficacy”. There have been reports of deaths, hallucinations, and seizures among children who used these medicines. Drug-makers say the medicines are safe and effective when used as directed.
