Abdominal Exercises: Crunch with towel

Crunch with towelBunch up a towel or roll it nicely and press it between your legs. Keep your feet together on the floor. This will stabilize your lower body and offer the inner-thigh muscles the opportunity to be involved and active while working the abs.

While holding on to the towel, put your hands behind your head. Inhale first and then exhale and contract the abs, lifting the upper body enough to clear the shoulder blades and add the pressure of the inner-thigh contraction to the intensity. Work slowly and really work the muscle. Release the contraction slowly, and then hit it again. Keep your focus on your breath and on the surface of your body.
